Photo Shoot 9

Melons and Ice
 
Here are the Preparation photographs in black and white:





 These images worked quite well, however the lighting wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be, meaning that the shutter speed on the camera wasn't fast enough as there wasn't enough light making the images blurry. Also there is not much contrast between the melon and the wooden board which the melon was cut upon, making the images not as strong as I had hoped.

These are the best images from this shoot as there is a good contrast between the different colours and between the lightest and darkest areas of the photos. Also they have succeeded in the sense of look at shallow depth of field, as only the main part of the food/drink is in focus, bringing it to the viewer's attention to the image.
 
 
For my next shoot I plan to make another bakery product, this time with more texture and colour within the food. Then create a contrast between the food and the background to draw the viewers into the image.
