General Area of Investigation: Photography

Can you be more specific about your title?  (ie What element/s of the above do you plan to investigate?) The History of Food Photography. I plan to look at how food photography began, how food was presented in the early days and how it has developed throughout the years. Also plan to look at artists who do food photography and look at food stylists as they play a big part in the presentation of food photography.

Do you have an initial idea for your title? The History of Food Photography

What research sources have you already consulted that could aid your project? I have researched food photography in general, gathering artists and websites and magazines to get information about the subject. An example of an artist I have looked at is Jonathan Gregson. And a magazine I have looked at is Foodie Bugle.

What other sources are you aware of that you have not yet consulted?  I haven’t looked at JSTOR yet but I have been introduced to it. I also plan to look at cookbooks and other websites.

Where else do you plan to look for research sources? The library and other resources on the internet. If you are producing an artefact, what do you imagine it will be? At the moment I don’t have a solid idea of what I would like to produce. Have you had any supervisor feedback so far? If so, what? It has been suggested that I get in touch with some Food stylists.
